Professor Yanosuke Yumi is the director of the Photon Power Laboratory after the retirement of his mentor Juzo Kabuto. Like many of his counterparts, he acts as mission control for the pilots in the battle against Dr. Hell.

Appearance[]

Prof. Yumi shares his appearance with many of his counterparts, a middle aged man of average height and weight with dark hair, a mustache, dark eyes, glasses, and is almost always seen in a white lab coat. Compared to other counterparts though, he is shown to have some graying hair on the lower parts of his head.

Personality[]

Prof. Yumi is usually mild mannered caring for his daughter Sayaka as well as his mentor's grandchildren, Koji and Shiro Kabuto. Being director of the Photon Lab however normally comes first for him though, often leading to situations where potential research and scientific breakthroughs including allowing the three scientists to peep on Minerva X in order to study her more closely or force others to go through with the time travel mechanics to collect data and present a better outcome. The latter of which showed a hint of madness causing everyone to be a little concerned.

Abilities[]

As director of the Photon Lab, Prof. Yumi has full access to the Lab's resources. He is also a brilliant scientist in his own right, creating the robot Aphrodite A based on his time spent with Dr. Kabuto as well as developing new technologies that provide renewable energy and support for an entire area of Japan. Prof. Yumi is also an excellent strategist, coming up with brilliant plans and contingencies for battle against insurmountable odds with enemies.

History[]

Prof. Yumi has often stayed a the Photon Power Lab providing strategies and needed equipment in the battles against the Underground Empire. By the time of the Mazin War, Prof. Yumi had put the barrier surrounding Japan's Kanto Area to protect the country while helping provide relief efforts by using the Photon Lab's resources to give energy to the citizens and refugees. When Minerva X had come, Prof. Yumi had wanted her to be studied given how advanced she was much to his daughter Sayaka's frustration.
