The Plan to Annihilate Mazinger Z is the 3rd episode of the original Mazinger Z anime series. This episode was first aired in Japan on December 17, 1972.
Summary[]
Sayaka is watching from a afar while Boss, Nuke and Mucha are doing motorcycle tricks. They stop and go talk to her. Sayaka says she wants to introduce them to someone who is a better biker than they are. Boss is skepital, but follows Sayaka to Koji's new house.
After arriving there, Sayaka reveals her true intentions. She actually wants them to help clean up the place. Boss isn't happy to learn the truth. However, when Sayaka questions if he will help or not he reluctantly says yes, but tries to elaborate further only for Sayaka to leave immediatly without letting him finish.
Boss, Mucha and Nuka
Boss and his gang are still cleaning the place when Koji and Shiro arrives. Koji greets them, but is punched after confirming he is in fact the famous biker Sayaka was talking about. Shiro attacks Boss in retaliation only to be brushed aside. Koji then fights with Boss and the others until Sayaka comes back and stops them.
Meanwhile, Baron Ashura goes back to Bardos after failing to contact Dr. Hell. He finds the scientist enraged as the existance of Mazinger Z made his army obsolete. In his anger, Hell is destroying several of his own Mechanical Beasts when Ashura tries to stop him only to end up being strangled. Ashura is released after reassuring him they can still beat Mazinger Z as Koji still hasn't be able to master the robot's controls.
Koji's pilot suit
Sayaka is now teaching Koji how to pilot. However, the fact she kepts making fun of him angers Koji and he tells her to leave so he can learn alone. While trying to make Mazinger Z move faster, Koji ends up seriously injuring himself. Ashura informs Dr. Hell who procreeds to orders him to take Gromazen R9 and attack.
Koji wakes up in a bed and finds Sayaka and Shiro looking after him. She calls the Mori Mori and Nossouri who take Koji with them. They join with Sewashi and start taking Koji's measurements so they can make him a pilot suit to protect him while he's piloting Mazinger Z.
Later that night Baron Ashura observes while a squad of Iron Masks sneaks into Koji's house. Dr. Yumi calls Koji to inform him there is a Mechanical Beast attacking. The Iron Masks cut the phone line and move in to take Koji. He manages to evade them and flees into the Hover Pilder.
The army tries to stop Gromazen R9, but aren't able to damage him. Aphrodite A arrives and tries to fight the Mechanical Beast. Without weapons, she ends up being defeated. She's saved by Mazinger Z. Sayaka instructs Koji and he is able to defeat Gromazen R7.
Koji tries to take Sayaka back to the laboratory, but loses control of Mazinger Z once again. Boss and his gang show up and give Sayaka a ride back after she confirms that Koji is the pilot. She goes inside and sees Koji using his pilot suit.
The episode ends with Baron Ashura calling and telling Koji to surrender Mazinger Z if he wants to live.
