Robot Girls NEO (ロボットガールズNEO?) is a 3 episodes anime short series produced by Toei Animation serving as a sequel to Robot Girls Z. The series debuted August 18, 2018 on the "Animax on Playstation" streaming platform.[1][2]
Story[]
The series is set in Nerima in ruins after a Photonic Energy disaster supposedly devastated the area; although the details surrounding the event are sparse. The Photon Research Facility Tower is all that is left of the laboratory, now standing as a monument in the middle of the devastation. A new pair of robot girls named Z-chan and Gre-chan (not to be confused with the original Robot Girls Team Z) live in the Shutter District spreading from the base of the tower with a home built from the lab's salvaged materials dubbed the Photon House. The advanced photon energy that once flowed through the town was replaced by the Getter Rays that rain down from space. But Z-chan and Gre-chan still make use of Photonic Energy to power their home.
