Phaëton is the son of the Mechanical God Apollo. He served as an antagonist in part of Z Mazinger when he attacked New York. He was among the gods that vied for the hand of Aphrodite.
Appearance[]
Phaëton is a younger Mechanical God wearing unique armor with bladed shoulders. He wears a helmet that has a sun emblem on the forehead area.
Personality[]
Like many Mechanical Gods, Phaëton is militant and looks down on Earth and its inhabitants, seeing them as lower lifeforms. He will also strike with no mercy on the enemies of the Empire even if it was someone he once loved.
Abilities and Equipment[]
Phaëton is not very skilled in combat and uses his father's Sun Chariot which is a tank that contains solar energy to fight. The tank can release beams of immense heat to incinerate areas and enemies but overuse could cause it to explode.
History[]
Under orders from Poseidon, Phaëton was sent out to level the Earth. Using his father's sun chariot, Phaëton attacked New York. The Z Mazinger and Aphrodite arrived to fight him. Phaëton used the sun chariot to attack them with beams, but was urged by his father not to overuse or it might explode so Phaëton stopped the attack. With this opening exposed, Z Mazinger destroys Phaëton.
