Peacong is an avian Warrior Beast that appeared in episode 13 of the Great Mazinger anime along with Gironian.
Appearance[]
Peacong resembles a large peafowl with a sharp beak, a pair of bull-like horns, a large dorsal fin going down its back, a flock of peacock-like feathers on its back, a pair of short arms, and a pair of pronged legs. Its true face is located on the forehead.
Abilities and Equipment[]
Peacong is capable of flight with its wings and rockets on its back. It can fire electromagnetic lightning from its tail feathers, allowing it to mess with the systems of opposing robots. The feathers have special armor to prevent them from being damaged but when damaged in the right area can be completely destroyed.
History[]
Peacong was sent to the city, destroying it with his rockets. Great Mazinger came to fight and faced Peacong, who seemingly evaded his attacks. However, it was a trap, another Warrior Beast, Gironian was waiting to attack the Great, trapping him with his adhesive substance.
Peacong then attacked the trapped Great Mazinger with his electromagnetic lightnings, causing the Great's instruments to malfunction and nearly electrocuting Tetsuya.
Fortunately, Venus A appeared and destroyed Peacong's electromagnetic feathers with her Oppai Missiles, freeing the Great Mazinger to deal with Gironian. Peacong attempted to ram Venus in a kamikaze-style attack, but Venus used her Koshiryoku Beam to destroy Peacong's head and then the rest of his body.
Trivia[]
- Peacong is one of the few Warrior Beasts not destroyed by Great Mazinger. Venus A had been the one to do so.
