Machine Island is the main setting for the Mazinkaizer SKL OVA. It is a floating island that served as a prison for outlaws too dangerous to be in the world and are isolated within by a powerful energy field known as the Gravity Curtain that keeps the island afloat.

Machine Island is held afloat by the Gravity Curtain which also doubles as a barrier, making sure no one goes in or out of the island.
