Jun Hono is the deuteragonist of Great Mazinger, the sequel to the Mazinger Z series. She pilots the Venus A, a combat robot created by Dr. Kenzo Kabuto to assist Great Mazinger in the fight against the Mycenaean Empire.
Born to a Japanese mother and an Afro-descendant father, Jun endured discrimination and hardships growing up. Dr. Kabuto later took her in, providing her with combat training and preparing her for battle alongside Tetsuya Tsurugi.
