Trivia[]

  • All 3 of the Jumbo Machinder's made for the Mazinger series found some form of international release by the start of the 1980's.
    • In 1976, a modified version of the Great Mazinger Jumbo Machinder was released in the American Shogun Warriors toyline, while in 1978, a modified version of the Grendizer Jumbo Machinder was released in the European and Canadian versions of the Shogun toy line. The Grendizer jumbo would be sold as late as 1982 in those markets, long after the Jumbo Machinder and Shogun Warriors lines ended in other markets.
    • Also in 1978, the Spanish toy company BRB International licensed and released a modified Mazinger Z Jumbo Machinder, with a new English sticker on the torso in place of the Japanese logo sticker ,as well as a newly built in Rocket Punch feature created by modifying the arms and breast fire plates with a metal rod system that would launch the fists.
    • In 1980, a Grendizer/Great Mazinger hybrid released exclusively in Italy under the name "Mazinga Z'' as apart of Mattel Italia's Shogun Warriors line. This figure took the Jumbo Machinder Great Mazinger head, V Fin and chest sticker and inserted it on the Grendizer body.
  • In 2000, Independent toy company Unifive rereleased the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger Jumbo Machinder's, alongside a new vinyl "villain" figure based on Garada K7.
