The Great General of Darkness (暗黒大将軍 Ankoku Daishōgun) is the military commander of the Mycenae Empire. He serves directly under the Emperor of Darkness and commands the Empire's seven armies.

Displaying the ability to effortlessly dispatch multiple Warrior Beasts at once and presenting a formidable challenge to both Great Mazinger and Venus A simultaneously, the Great General of Darkness stands out as one of the most powerful combatants in the setting. Besides sheer strength and skill, his arsenal includes:
Sword: Capable of absorbing energy attacks and slicing through Great Mazinger's Chougoukin New Z body.
Laser Vision: The Great General of Darkness is capable of firing energy beams from the head over his shoulders. These beams were powerful enough to take out Venus A in a single hit.
Self-Destruction: The Great General of Darkness possessed the ability to initiate a self-destruction sequence. It was believed that the resulting explosion would have destroyed Great Mazinger had he not managed to escape the General's hold.
History[]
Following the news of Dr. Hell's defeat at the hands of Mazinger Z, the Great General of Darkness deemed it opportune to exploit the power vacuum by commencing the Mycenae Empire's campaign for world domination. However, despite initially defeating Mazinger Z and his allies in combat, the Warrior Beasts met their match with the arrival of the newcomer Great Mazinger, initiating a struggle between the Mycenaeans and the Science Fortress Laboratory.
After enduring successive defeats, the Great General of Darkness resolved to intervene personally, embarking aboard Mycelos to confront the Science Fortress Laboratory. His offensive was substantial, employing one Warrior Beast from each of the seven factions. However, just before the battle could commence, Kenzo Kabuto utilized his latest invention to seize control of the minds of the Warrior Beasts, turning them against the General of Darkness and forcing him to eliminate them.
Isolated and alone, the Great General of Darkness confronted Great Mazinger and Venus A, managing to defeat the latter during the battle. However, he ultimately succumbed to the former after a fierce struggle. Despite attempting to destroy Mazinger along with himself, the Great General of Darkness failed in this endeavor, perishing alone during the process.
