Gelbros J3 is a three-headed Mechanical Beast that appeared in episode 32 of the Mazinger Z anime.

Gelbros J3 is a humanoid Mechanical Beast with three serpent-like heads. The three heads feature different colors: the left head and arm is colored green with dark green stripes, the middle head is colored pink with white spikes going down the back of the neck, the right head and arm is colored light purple with black stripes. The forearms are colored white with black sharp claws. The white belt features a face-like emblem.

The Gelbros J3's main abilities come from its three heads. The left head releases acid, the right head releases electric bolts, and the middle head uses a type of ray from its eyes that cancel out forcefields.
History[]
Gelbros J3 is a flying kikaiju created by Doctor Hell with the purpose of wearing down Mazinger Z and leaving it without energy. It attacked 3 cities in Japan, destroying mainly a bullet train, two oil plants, 2 oil tankers and a train line, probably causing a serious energy problem in the country. Despite being made of a resistant alloy, Gelbros J3 was not designed to destroy Mazinger Z or damage the photonic laboratory barrier, being severely damaged when colliding with it. Gelbros J3 would go down in history as one of the most iconic kikaijus in the franchise due to indirectly forcing the first flight of Mazinger Z using rockets. Gelbros J3 would be brought to the ground when Mazinger Z subdued him in the air and destroyed his thruster, finishing him off by destroying his neck And destroying it with a single impact of the eye rays, demonstrating the low durability of the robot. It was a key piece or rather the reason for the creation of the Mazinger z Scrander.

- "Gerberos" is likely based on "Kerberos", an alternate reading of Cerberus, the name of the a three-headed dog creature guarding the gates of Hell in Greek mythology.
The design of Gelbros J3 and the inspiration for the chapter was the movie "Ghidorah The Three headed Monster" of the Godzilla franchise. Gelbros J3 being a clear reference to Ghidorah.
