Wild Beast General Ligern (猛獣将軍ライガーン Moujuu Shougun Raigaan) is the leader of the Mycenae Empire's Mammalian Warrior Beast army.
Appearance[]
Ligern resembles a demonic centaur with a feline-like lower body. His upper body features armor with a lion-like head with horns and a blue mane. His real face is located on his chest.
Personality[]
Ligern is more fierce and ferocious than the other generals, he is also noted for being a glory hog among the others wanting to destroy the the Great Mazinger before anyone else had the chance. Ligern was also much more accepting of Great Marshall of Hell than the others were, taking delight in Hell's way of leading the Empire.
Abilities[]
In battle, Ligern employs shameless tactics to defeat enemies from sneak attacks to crowd battles. He is also able to fire electromagnetic beams from his fangs.
History[]
Ligern was usually sent out in battle when called for to fight the Great Mazinger, with no success. In the final battle, Ligern battles the Mazinger Z with General Angora in order to stop him from going to the Science Fortress Lab while the Demonika destroyed is remains, he is hit by Koshiryoku Beam through his chest causing him to die.
Etymology[]
Ligern comes from the hybrid animal between a lion and tigress, Liger.
