Dr. Smith from his short appearance seems to be well mannered and cooperative, working alongside his old colleague to help upgrade a robot to fight the threat of the Mechanical Beasts. He has a distinct distaste towards Dr. Hell aspirations for world domination.

History[]
Prof. Yumi traveled to New York to get assistance in completing the Jet Scrander for Mazinger Z to use for flight. Later when the Jet Scrander was nearly completed, a disguised robot was sent by Baron Ashura to destroy the Jet Scrander, but his cover was blown and the Jet Scrander was launched.
