The Black Great is a robot modeled after the Great Mazinger by Shinsuminichi Industry and serves as the prototype of the Mass-Produced Great Mazinger.
Appearance[]
The Black Great resembles the Great Mazinger with the only difference being that its body is completely black except for the horns, neck, heatsink chest plate and Pilder that share the same color scheme as the original Great.
Abilities[]
The Black Great has roughly the same strength and power as the original Great Mazinger, impressing Tetsuya Tsurugi with its combat skills. Unlike the mass-produced models, the Black Great has a scrander attached to its back allowing it to fly, but it is unknown how well it performs compared to the original. Unique to the Black Great is the Koshiryoku Beam, something that was used from the data of the Mazinger Z as not even the Great Mazinger could use this move.
History[]
The Black Great was first unveiled as advertisement for the Self-Defense Force. It managed to even fight off a Mycenae Empire attack. It joined the Great and Mass-Produced models in battle against the Empire. While its control was not hijacked, the Black Great was badly damaged in battle unable to be used again.

- The Black Great appeared in Super Robot Wars MX as a guest character performing attacks with the original and mass-produced Greats.
