Bardos is an island in the Mediterranean Sea that serves as the base for Dr. Hell and the Underground Empire.

On the island are ancient ruins that Dr. Hell discovered where he found and repaired the Mechanical Beasts. In case some plans fail, a stand microphone, audio equipment, and a giant TV Screen that appears on the island are used by Dr. Hell to announce his presence.
