Aphrodite A is a robot created by Prof. Yumi and piloted by his daughter Sayaka Yumi. It served as a partner for the Mazinger Z for the first part of the series until it was destroyed.
Appearance[]
Aphrodite A is based on its appearance from the anime being primarily colored red and orange. It had a round head with a uniquely shaped top. Its breasts are colored red and reveal the Oppai Missile System.
Abilities and Weapons[]
Compared to Mazinger Z, Aphrodite A is more fragile and has lower physical strength as it was made with thinner layers of Super Alloy Z. It does not possess much weaponry either, possessing only the Oppai Missile System that shoots Photon Missiles from the chest that are able to destroy Mechanical Beasts with the right accuracy and allow lift for the Mazinger prior to getting the Jet Scrander.
History[]
Aphrodite A was sent to fight the Mechanical Beasts that attacked the Photon Lab, but was being overpowered until the arrival of Mazinger Z. However, as Mazinger was not in control, Aprhodite had to subdue the robot. After which Aphrodite joined the battle against Dr. Hell and his lieutenants, usually receiving the most damage or providing the Mazinger a lift for flying enemies. After a battle with a Mechanical Beast, Koji is unable to pilot Mazinger so Sayaka goes to fight with Aphrodite alone. However the Mechanical Beast is too much for her to handle with Aphrodite damaged beyond repair. With the battle over, Aphrodite is replaced with the stronger Diana A.
